Hi all. I t hought I’d show you the first two pairs I’ve decided on and see what you all think. The opaline grey green cock is to be paired with the light green hen. And the spangle grey cock with the grey green hen to hopefully improve the width that I think he is lacking. Fingers crossed. Your thoughts? Paul Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Hi Paul, width between the eyes and backskull , backskull gives you more feathers which increases the blow ( see example) , also look to improve the depth of mask..........................is the spangle grey one of Andy's

Put your mouse on the top of his head, when he stops blowing the feathers will fall down onto his backskull, the more backskull the more blow.

Nipper - I think the cock in the last pair (Opaline green cock and lutino hen) is moulting. Is it good idea to put them in breeding cages?

He is just coming to the end of his moult and although I have limited experience, one thing I have picked up on is that our birds seem to be at their fittest just after a moult. Is this so or just coincidence? Paul
