Well as it says we are off to the vets this afternoon. Wiggy has taken a turn for the worse today and now has a red right eye that makes him look like he is a lutino He has been rubbing it incessantly and made the lid sore now so for me there is only one option. I have spoken to the vets and have an appointment for 4.10pm. Wish us luck, and will report back later.

Thank you all soooo much We are back safe and sound and I have been given some eye drops to administer. Seems like he has an eye infection and I have gotta say I am glad the vet gave me drops and not something you put in water (as i don't like separating unless absolutely necessary) plus the words "baytril" weren't even mentioned Have given Sir Wigg the first dose he behaved like a lamb! One full drop in his open eye, no struggle and he has been singing and chatting with Barney ever since Fingers and wings crossed for the next 10 days of medication I just hope he behaves like he did today for the next 20 drops

What soldier Sir Wiggy is. Glad it is nothing too serious and is fairly easily treated. Get well soon Sir Wiggy. Best of luck administering the solution Sam. Is it Budgefriend's solution by the way?

Hope he feels better soon. My 1st budgie had those drops - dad was the meany who caught him, mum administered. They didn't get to the end of the course as Bobby got increasingly anxious & feral but what he had was enough so hopefully if Wiggy doesn't continue to be a good patient it'll be ok. Bobs never forgave my dad & for weeks would scream & retreat to the curtain rail if dad entered the room!
