Well this morning I uncovered a poorly pet, Brodie had been sick in the night & was being sick through my breakfast, poor thing is all mucky as it was mostly going on him. He's very quiet & not particularly interested in food (he's just got some boiled egg though & is tucking into that which pleases me) but is still doing his feathers & having small amounts of play. Vet is off till tomorrow so he has an appointment for then. They do worry us so these feathered friends don't they?

They don't half starrymist. Please let us know how Brodie gets on at the vet tomorrow. I'm afraid I don't know what to suggest you give him to try and help the sickness, I hope someone else has the answers. Lots of love to the wee guy x

Sending you and Brodie a big (((hug))) it's horrible when our babies are ill - apologies to ask this, does his sick smell funny? I know when I had Milo and he was vomitting everywhere the smell was AWFUL! Like rotten fish. Wondering if he has an infection? I really hope the vet can figure things out <3 lots of love for now xxx

I've not smelt anything Becca! I have saved his seedy sick from this morning to go with him to the vet tomorrow. He's eaten some grit which set him off again but he persevered & took some ok & had a drink, so quiet though, it's unnerving!

Hugs to you and Brodie. The vet will have the solution. Brodie is much too cute to be sick. Keep us posted.

Hopefully it is simply something a bit off that he is getting rid of in his own way, and not something more sinister. I noticed when Smudge came out of her not-eating funk last time she went straight to the grit pot. Hopefully this is their way of cleansing themselves of a "tummy ache". Good luck with him, starrymist. I hope he is better before the vet visit; that would be the best outcome.

Thanks for all the lovely comments, wasn't really expecting any as I've not been able to comment much recently at all.
Well, he's much better today but he still went to the evil vet who mum was quite sure he remembered, he was on guard as soon as he saw her, put up a good fight apparently & went mental at the sight of the dreaded tea Towel! His crop is inflamed & she could hear a crackling in his chest & said He's got avian gastric yeast, (called 'mega bacteria' even though it's not a bacteria!) something which may well flare when he's stressed or depleted (like he is now, having just finished the mother of all moults).
He's eating better & is more lively today. I've also just tried to clean him up a bit but he's so not keen on showers sprays, it mostly involved me chasing him around the floor, he can run very quickly when he wants! He has a dish of water but he tends to just paddle.
