For what it is worth, I am leaning towards boy, as well. I think he is a mauve spangle, if you say he looks mauve in the right light. Mauves can look grey in many photos; the boy in my avatar was a mauve.

Thanks again Hezz! He definatley isn't grey, his cheek spots lean towards purple to the naked eye. I am going to feel so proud telling everyone Douglas is a mauve spangle, it sounds so cosmopolitan!

Oh samwiseg (am guessing you are a Tolkien fan? Me too, another guilty pleasure), this forum is heaven. Sunday is normally my housework day, after finding this site I am now addicted and the washing can get up and do itself for all I care right now!!
