His tail feathers could have been 'attacked' by other birds, mine have a habit of going for each others tail feathers if they're in easy reach and I hear them squawking away telling the others to get off! I'm not sure about his feet you would need to watch him walk about the bottom of his cage I think (?)but there are a few folk on here with birds that have slight and even some quite badly deformed feet but they manage ok. Better they have good homes than go to someone who might mistreat them or worse Oh by the way....he's a little beauty and.... welcome

Sirius is lovely and I think you will find that he will get around fine once he settles down with your family. That small deformity with his foot, especially as that is the foot he tends to stand on when on one leg, would seem not to e a problem for him at all. Besides a few ratty tail feathers, (normal for a number of birds in a relatively small space), he looks fine. As SQ says, the sand sheets had to go, so good work there. When looking for branches you want ones that are of a size so his feet wrap around about two-thirds of the diametre, and then some thicker and some thinner, so his feet get plenty of exercise. Also try to get branches with differing textures of bark, again for foot health, and they love chewing the bark off the perches, so think about how thick/then they are going to be once the bark is off.
