OK Ditto fans. Here's this mornings update. She is a terror, her biting is relentless, it's like juggling vipers. She never lets up, our hands are so sore. As soon as you pick her up she clamps down and doesn't stop until you put her down. It makes her physio very challenging. On the plus side, she has been climbing her ladder very well and climbed up the side of her cage base using the ladder and the edge of the newspaper, then, with one foot on each she peered out at the world. She has a little chirp now and then, just to let us know she's still there. I so want her to improve that I know I will be disappointed if she shows no progress but I also know it will take time. I just want her to be able to enjoy life and I want that to happen now.

We've had a slower day today. My daughter comes round on a Saturday so we do a bit of work on the allotment and she has 2 little dogs so I didn't want to get Ditto out while they were here for her safety. Feel I've neglected Ditto a bit, only did 3 sessions of physio, I am trying to aim for 5 or 6. She did however decide to do a little bit herself. She was sitting in her cage next to my son when she decided to climb up the side and chirp at him. He was so chuffed that she did it all by herself, she only got a little way but it was nice to see her trying. Kian, my son, then got her out for a cuddle and got this for his troubles.

Ouch, all right! Hopefully the biting will settle down once she realizes that you are not going to eat her.

Quite a bite that is, on the soft part of the arm as well. Is it because she feels vulnerable that she bites that hard? Edward still bites if I try and get her out of the cage, yet will step up very nicely when I rescue her from the floor or whatever.

Poor little Ditto, guess she feels vulnerable. But you're doing really well with her
