Sorry, am accidentally confusing folks. Derek's cere is pinkish. Douglas's is exactly the same as the photos, head bobber extraordinaire

I may be seeing things but with Edward and the boys there is a definite difference in the head and position of her eyes. The boys eyes are more to the top of the head and the head is more round. Edward's head is slightly flatter and the eyes are further down the cheek, not a vast difference but noticeable. Is this common between hens and cocks?

I think you have just had a tiny bit too much 15 year old single malt mate........

OP there is a school of thought that hens have a flatter head than the boys, but it doesn't seem to be consistent enough to be used as a sexing tool, from what I can gather. Smudge's head is flatter, but Mango's is not. Maybe we could see if all those with the flatter heads are hens, but not all hens have the flatter head. This could make for an interesting thread. reajen01, I wouldn't like to make a call on Derek; definitely agree with Marianne that Douglas is all ..... ahem ........ male.

It's a good job we know what you are talking about Marianne . My daughter's mother in law breeds rare chickens and she wanted to get rid of some and she wanted to call the website "rent-a-cock". My daughter had to explain the implications and replies she would have LMAO! I've got tears from laughing!
