Hello everyone, for the past week Hazel has been making a noise which sounds like a cross between chuffing and squeaking, its very odd. She is still acting normal, eating, drinking and her poops look normal. She has no nasal discharge either and she doesn't sit fluffed up or hunched. Willow and Maple are not making this noise so I'm worried Should I qurantine her untill I can get her to a vet just in case its catching? She had a bit of a fight with Willow seconds before (no injurys) as he was being irritating
Anyway, has this happened to anyone else? Thanks

it seems to happen more after she's been eating, she also tends to shove her face right into her food bowl. Would that cause it?

Probably. There could be dust in the food that's going up her nose. What food does she have?

I was going to say the same thing starlingqueen, or maybe there are a lot of seed husks in the feeder. When I blow my birds seed I put it in a fine sieve and give it a good shake as well as blowing the husks off, that way any fine dust that come off the husks filter through the sieve.

Sky does this when she gets balsa wood dust up her nose! Is she doing this like ALL the time? Maybe she has an allergy to something?

Yes, it is a sneeze, or three. Sometimes the seed mixes can be quite dusty, particularly at the bottom of the bag; it might be worth taking some and seeing what you can sieve out. If there is a lot of debris, it might worth your while sifting it before giving it to her.
