I'm sorry to read this Tom. Take solace that had you not taken her in she may not of survived, so you and her both had 4 wonderful years together. Take care and don't be too hard on yourself. All anyone can ever do is what they think is best at the time.

Hello everyone. The replies here are so comforting thank you for each and every one of them.
After a bit of thought I'm not sure she would have survived any kind of surgery so I don't think the diagnosis made too much of a difference but I am sorry to read of your situation Hezz.
I told a friend that I keep catching myself chirping at her. I always did that if she was quiet for a while and she would always chirp back. My friend told me to keep chirping as she is still listening. I thought it was a beautiful thing to say. Although it makes me emotional it also makes me smile.
Thanks again everyone
Tom.

Thank you, Tom. I like your friend's words; I also think that's a beautiful thought. I for one would love to read that you had decided that Bobbi's legacy to you was for you to decide to bring home another little feathered soul. Is that a possibility?

I do think that I will end up with another at some point. Maybe in a few weeks i will think seriously about it.
Bobbie has left a big void and although i knew I would miss her i wasn't ready for the size of the void. I hope that makes sense.
Tom.

It makes perfect sense Tom.
Anyone who has ever loved and lost a little bird, knows exactly how you feel.

Hi tomb24 and thanks for trying to find the right person for this little one. Sounds like he landed on the right person. Maybe you've thought about this as well but how about an ad in local newsagents etc. Local radio too? Pet shops and vets might be good places to contact as well. You might try contacting your local newspaper, or perhaps putting a "Found" poster in a petstore
