I have a new budgie from my neighbour who was going to set it free last night. I couldn't bare that as It's so cruel. I decided to take in the budgie and provided food etc. It is settling in well. Is it a male or female budgie? Also the beak looks rather large to me. Opinions will be appreciated. Thanks

Your picture isn't showing up. You have to upload your image to an image hosting site like photobucket. Then post the bottom code on the list here.

Firstly well done on rescuing a budgie Secondly, as starlingqueen said, your image is not showing up. You can upload to photobucket or tinypic and then paste the link here. Or, you can email the pic to me and I will insert it for you. Thanks Marianne budgerigarsforum@gmail.com

I can't believe your neighbour was going to let a budgie go into the wild. I just checked to see, make sure I wasn't making a mistake, no you are in the UK, therefore your neighbour is too. What a terrible thing to consider doing!!!! Not even in their country of origin. I am gobsmacked, but thankfully you came to the rescue of this unfortunate little bird. Thank you, and well done.
