I've weighed him this evening and he's gone down from 45g to 38g... but he's eaten a lot of millet today so hopefully he will put some weight back on soon! He's very good at taking his medicine

Spyro is doing so much better today. He's still quiet and subdued, but eating well and not showing any symptoms! I'm so relieved, after seeing Sidly die from this I was convinced I would lose Spyro as well, but I think he will be fine thank goodness! I'm angry at myself for losing Sidly. I didn't realise quickly enough what was wrong with him and I didn't realise how short his time was. Seeing Spyro recover from it is wonderful but I can't help thinking if only I'd been able to see Sidly recover as well. I still miss him a lot. Anyway I'm rambling! Thank you all for your messages and thoughts for Spyro - it means a lot!

Wonderful news. You can't blame yourself for Sidly. We all have what ifs on lots of things. But you couldn't have known or you would have done whatever. And Sidly may well have been worse.
Your experience though has gotten Spyro out of the woods

Great news about Spyro - good boy!
But please don't beat yourself up with 'If only's' about Sidly. I am having to curb this in myself with Luee. As Maya Angelou said "You did then what you knew how to do and when you knew better you did better."

Great news! Sidly is smiling because what you learned from him has helped his friend Spyro. We all need to heed Maya Angelou's words. The more we learn, the better we can help. You have done well, Tacey.

I can only echo what the others have already put so well. All we need now is to see Spyro fully recovered.
