So sorry for the delay in my reply (am not one for drama) so forgive me but I just felt such despair and had to be on my own for a bit.
I am wondering if it was because he could have had meds on an empty stomach? He hadn't eaten his breakfast so am thinking that might be it? Or could be as you all suggested he just over ate?
Have kept him partially covered today and he did not produce as much vomit as he did last time.
So fingers crossed it is a one off. Have been monitoring him and he has eaten some millet.
Must keep reminding myself how they are still so fragile :-|

Sam, flagyl tastes horrible, so if he hadn't eaten yet, on an empty stomach it might not have helped. I am hoping that is all it was. Happy to hear he has been eating his millet since, though. I had the same issue re vet weighing Smudge when she was really sick ..... it wasn't Karen ..... and as I had been weighing her regularly I knew what she weighed, and had conferred with one of the other vets; we had both agreed that our scales weighed in about the same, so it was the difference in the scales. I think she simply got it wrong.

I would think most of the drugs that were doing us or animals any good taste vile Hezz! He ate LOADS of millet yesterday thank goodness (will be getting some more) as he is going through it at a rate of knots Am waiting for him to have his breakfast first before anything happens - have cleaned him out so am able to see what he eats as I have to go out to the Dr's meself early this morning! So will administer his meds when I come back. He did just give a little tweet! God, I am so hypersensitive to this little chap right now ANY noise or movement is giving me palpitations! Hopefully onwards and upwards from here

Good boy little Alfie, nom nom nom..
At least Alfie will eat normal millet. Her Nibs* (JoJo) will only eat Red millet.
* noun 1. his /her nibs, Informal: Often Facetious. a person in authority, especially one who is demanding and tyrannical.

Just a thought but could this episode have been brought on by him being taken to the vet and getting stressed Marianne Marlow? As this disease likes to respond more when birds are stressed it would be a thought? That's also why I was initially reluctant to take him back for re-assessment and negotiated and check up phone call for next week instead. What do you think? Possible?
