Brave little man having his first paddle:) There is nothing more endearing than a soggy budgie:) Ahh, thats not his first bath (I see I was unclear) ... they featured heavily in the previous video I made of 'his favourite things' ;D I've been trying to do another one but find just moving to get my camera is usually enough to distract him from what he's doing.

I've been leaving Puck out every day now while I'm at work, this has resulted in our usual game of 'hide the balls' becoming much more difficult as I cant cheat and also he's getting much more imaginative with where he hides them ;D He's got loads more used to his 'wobbly perch' I made for him and now likes to stand on it for extended periods. When I first made it he'd hop off it straight away! (and this is the least blurry picture! I want stace's camera )I guess its quite good exercise for him just sitting on it, requiring lots of muscles just to balance.

I've been on holiday visiting friends in America for the last 3 weeks I was concerned and interested to see how Puck would react to me going but as my partner was staying at home with him I thought it would be ok. So apparently for the first week he kinda sulked, not wanting to play with her (unless she sat at my desk or in chair:)). Now however he'll fly over to her shoulder and seems much keener on her than ever before! Very pleased for the both of them. He seemed to have taken to me as normal on my return and apparently he is now saying "Good boy" and "Budgie" though I'm having difficulty picking them out still. He's defiantly making new noises. In America I went to a Pet Smart and was blown away by the bird section, no pokey section in the corner of the shop here. Interestingly though they didn't have any floor toys, although there may have been more that I didn't notice round the corner as I've only just seen there was more cages at the end of the isle I'd seen pretty much everything for sale before but on the internet (they did have bells that appeared to be stainless steel). I got a new natural wood perch and a one of those soft "kabob" chew toys.

Is this seriously a budgie! Puck looks like a little ball of yellow cuteness. You could start manufacturing life-like models and sell them in Tokyo.

You live in the home of the budgies too! I know. Tell me about it. If I had a dog, I could get diamond encrusted collars though, and a wrought iron dog bed made in Paris.
