I am so glad you have found somewhere. It sounds like they will have a great time. Can you tempt them in with a toy or millet? Would the other two go in if one did?

I'm glad you got your birds sorted. I rehomed one recently on here, and he has a great life now (Bumble).

Hi all - thanks for your responses - these birds are cute (not just to look at) - not one of them is tame and they all go into the cage to eat but I can't get to the cage quick enough to take the little chain off the door before they scoot out! lightning quick! Just one step in the direction of the cage is enough to put them on notice that I may be coming over to lock them in! I'm worried about turning all the lights out in case they fly into something and hurt themselves so I am going to try to take the chain off and attach a string (a long one!) that I can pull on to close the door (it's one that opens upwards (hence the chain to keep it open). Got to learn how to tie a slip knot I suppose. Kind regards. Sue xx

I can only imagine the load this must be off your mind; so happy for you, but sad as well, for you to be needing to do this. Now for the next challenge - getting them caged for the journey. Only you are going to be able to solve that one, I am afraid.

Hi Hezz - please don't be afraid - I will get them in the cage safely without undue stress to them or me! - I have five/six days to work this out and the string seems to be the one I have to concentrate on and removing the chain but keeping the door open with the string hey- ho! (string is not appropriate but the stuff that you have on you bathroom lights as its much smoother and lighter - it's on my to do list to buy) but I will try the to put out all the lights and have a flashlight at the ready (as well as my foot on the standard lamp) in case they do try to fly out in the dark. I have removed all the feeding and water from the top of the cage so they have to go in to eat and drink. I will post how it goes. Kind regards. Sue

I am sure you will manage to work it out. Good luck, though.
