Oh no! Is it an emergency? Has the bleeding stopped? Can you remove anything from his cage that is irritating the problem? A photo would really help people here to visualise the problem and give more targeted / useful advice, if that is possible.

To be honest, I don't know! There was a thread a while ago on 'budgie health', where a gap had appeared between the beak and the cere. If you browse that section, you might find something useful.

I don't know enough about beak issues but in budgie health there are ways if stopping the bleeding. Are you able to go to a vet? Do you know why it split to start with?
Bailey I thought had a gap but I think it's just the way it looks st times or the cere is less blue, not sure but thankfully not affecting him
I hope you find the issue and it resolves. And a photo would help

I am not at all experienced with bleeding of beaks pleasehelpbudgie, but as a temporary measure cornflour dabbed onto the bleeding area usually stops the bleed. This is the case with body/wing wounds. There is another probably prefered method which is a stipstick (not sure of the spelling) which is designed to stop bleeds. Hopefully someone with more experience will come on later to help advice you with your problem. Hopeyou can sort it out very soon.

Shirls, could you mean a 'steristrip'? These are tiny sterile (hence the name) narrow white, semi-transparent sticking plasters with lines running down their length, designed to hold edges together, so they are often stuck over stitches or (on children) glued cuts. I'd imagine they'd be a perfect emergency measure for a bleeding budge.

If his beak is split then you'll need to get him to an avian vet, but in the mean time keep him in his cage and calm.

It is the immediate need of the bird that needs to be considered - once the bleeding has stopped the emergency is over, but to prevent the same happening again, I think you need to get to a vet who should be able to apply a bird-safe glue, or binding agent to the beak to stop the bleeding from reoccurring, and also help keep the split area sterile. A quick look has given me this site; have a read, it might give you some better idea of what can be done. beautyofbirds.com/brokenbeaks.html

I think someone on this forum mentioned it, but I can't seem to find it. Sorry.
