I would say a hen from that picture, but he/she looks like a hard one to determine. A bit like Bumble do you think skysmum? We kept changing our minds, as the cere kept changing colour in different lights. Skysmun asked the budgerigar society for their opinion in the end.

I am inclined towards male on this one - the lutinos are not easy to determine.

Another Bumble I think Hezz. Me and skysmum kept changing our minds, about Bumble as his cere looked different depending on the light. This budgie seems the same. I think hen, but not 100% confident.

It's just so hard to tell. In this instance I would go by the personalty of the bird.
My JoJo is an albino and you can just tell she's a hen, from the quacky sounds to her being quick to anger and not singing as much or as loudly as the boys. Her singing sounds like a high pitched squeaky wheel.

Why not contact the budgerigar society like skysmum did? They told her Bumble was a boy as we wasn't sure.

If you do, don't take it as 100% guaranteed, though. We have had experts get it wrong on occasions; my little Misty was considered to be a hen ...... and he is not even one of the -inos.

Agreed Hezz I still think that unless the bird pushes out an egg, personality is the only way to go in these circumstances.

There is only one other thing that confuses me more than a recessive pied and that is Lutino . I agree with others, go on personality, im now sure Bumble is a boy going on personality alone.
