Wow, ninz1 you do have a great talent... your next painting or drawing? a budgie!! You read my mind Marianne!!!!! I am going to paint my two babies soon! I have already bought the canvas. I just need to think of a background. Imzi is brilliant for posing but Huckleberry moves around way too much. Imzi has always wanted to be a model! Any ideas anyone of what background I could paint them in?

They are all lovely and one can see how your talent has grown with your years! Brilliant ninz1 , thanks for sharing. Why not post your other projects? I would love to see them. Craft is so clever and as you say, we all have a talent of some kind with different crafts/things. Thank you Shirls! I will definitely upload them, they're just things I have done on the side. Presents for friends and charity.

On a table with their favourite toys? Budgies are beautiful, who needs a background That's a great idea, I might do that!!! Thank you for the idea. Why didn't I think of that before? I was thinking more of them hanging on an orange fruit plant (Imzi loves oranges). I might do a new photo of them playing with toys but Huckle always ends up blurry in the photos. That boy moves too fast. If it doesn't work out, I can always take the best of both of them and make up a fun background of toys!

Beautiful works. I use the Fabre castell polychromos as well, on my parchment. Thank you! Aren't they brilliantly smooth! I am not the best with them but I have seen amazing work by others. I would love to see your work if you would like to share

Very talented, well done you I wouldn't have the patience (I've tried!) I prefer Words but...now then you know what you have to do hey.....give us a budgie in your own very special style....thanks Try again! You must! My children in my class ask me, "Miss Nina, I will never be good at art,". I ask them if they think I was born with a pencil and paintbrush in my hands. They laugh and say nooooo! So I told them that I didn't know how to hold a pencil, I had to learn how to use one like you did. I didn't know how to draw, I had to learn like you did. It takes years of practice before you get better and each time you get better and better. Believe in yourself and you can achieve anything! In other words never give up. I will definitely start my budgie painting soon. I feel all buzzed up now! I need to paint my planter first and then I will start with the canvas. I wish my half term holiday could go on forever!!

I did this painting for my friend. This is a painting of her hamster. We became friends because I used to have a hamster called Zorro. She is a lovely lady and I did this as a present for her. This is her hamster called Bertie. He was very sweet and calm natured. I found this a difficult painting because I was worried if she would think that it did not look like him. Luckily she was really happy with it

As requested, I will add in a few of my crafty work! Like sewing and knitting etc. I will start off with my first project where I decided to make baby stuff for my aunt. She had a little boy in 2008!! I have forgotten what they are called!! But I sewed it myself using the sewing machine. It is not perfect and the zip was tricky but my aunt appreciated the effort. I made a little towel for him too. I tried to keep to a Pooh bear theme. I bought the towelling fabric! Then I made this! This is my favourite thing that I made for her. I love this cushion. I then made these bibs for her. I bought the towelling fabric and had to make the bias binding. It is not perfect, I am not good with the sewing machine.

I then made her some knitted cardigans for the little one. It didn't fit him at first even though I made it 0months onwards. This one was really hard to do, it is called a cable knit and it frustrated me a lot. I am a slow knitter but I got there in the end!!
