Very talented, well done you I wouldn't have the patience (I've tried!) I prefer Words but...now then you know what you have to do hey.....give us a budgie in your own very special style....thanks Try again! You must! My children in my class ask me, "Miss Nina, I will never be good at art,". I ask them if they think I was born with a pencil and paintbrush in my hands. They laugh and say nooooo! So I told them that I didn't know how to hold a pencil, I had to learn how to use one like you did. I didn't know how to draw, I had to learn like you did. It takes years of practice before you get better and each time you get better and better. Believe in yourself and you can achieve anything! In other words never give up. I will definitely start my budgie painting soon. I feel all buzzed up now! I need to paint my planter first and then I will start with the canvas. I wish my half term holiday could go on forever!! When I was young mother (a long time ago) I sewed and knitted all of my children's clothes plus some of my own dresses, cardigans and jumpers. I've done various 'crafts' over the years including trying my hand at painting, drawing and other stuff but now I have neither the inclination, time nor patience plus I my right wrist is getting weaker but I do enjoy seeing people using their wonderful talents as they should be used.

Also people would rather go and pay £5.00 for a birthday card in a shop than a handmade one. Some of my cards can take 10 hours to make but people look at you and say "well it is only hand made"!!!!!!! I know only give mine to people who respect and appreciate what I do. Shame you live in London, we could all crochet together Keep up the good work and hope dad is ok. Oh I would love a crochet group! My dad is much better, he is home now as he has agreed to take his medication. My mum was the most affected by it all, she seemed very depressed and withdrawn. Once he was back, she felt a lot better. Even though her life is difficult with him, without him she is someone else. The doctors are always checking in on him to make sure he is ok.

Everything is so beautiful, i love the paintings and can only dream. My youngest girl did A level art and is a beautiful painter. I can paint with threads and create a picture doing freestyle embridery on my sewing machine but i cant paint with paints, mad i know Oh if only I could embroider!! I bought a book: www.amazon.co.uk/Needle-Painting-Embroidery-Fresh-Beginners/dp/1863514201It is beautiful but I found it difficult to do as I am not great at sewing. My machine is a basic one so it cannot do all the lovely designs!

This is what I teach. Everything is made out of parchment paper which is like greaseproof paper and you stretch it with tools. The Ferris wheel actually goes round and I have put little lights in it. This is done with Polychromos of parchment paper. This is embossed and cut out of parchment. This ferris wheel took me about 40 hours to emboss, you then have to go around everything with a tool with 2 needles (size of a sewing needle) and then cut it out with the finest of scissors you can buy (the scissors cost £25.00).
