I bought Squawk this today from the small animal section. I will put a hoop through it at the top so that Squawk can use it as a swing. Has anyone else got one of these, and do you think the really small frilly bits of wood is ok if Squawk is tempted to nibble them?

Love it jane, that wont hurt him at all. In the spring and summer i collect willow from a nearby field and make my own, the buds demolish them pretty quick

Beat me to it; I was going to say that willow is very good for the buds. Hopefully Squawk will appreciate it and give it the attention it deserves.

I have one for Georgie. It came with a metal ring that I've taken off and I've attached it as a swing with leather. I just check the leather to make sure he hasn't started to chew though it but no signs yet. He loves sitting in it and chewing the curly bits. I thread grasses into it in the summer too.
(Just re-read your post and can see you are going to use yours as a swing too!)

He does Squawk a bit BudgieS90, but I chose it as its bird related, and with budgies you can have a bit of fun with their names. I also call him by pet names Squawky Boy and Squawkasarus

Squawk likes his hoop and has a nibble on it now and then.
