The alternative there, also, Jean, is to move the birdies to one of the smaller cages for a good proper cleaning - I don't know how you can clean a cage with the residents in, well, residence. You have done it once now with ..... how many bites? Next time, count and make sure the number goes down with each move. After all, who is the boss in this house?

If it's anything like mine, it'll be THE BUDGIES

I did find it easier moving them back from the smaller cage probably because they didn't have the space to panic and fly as far away as possible from me! I don't want to scare them to death! So I'll be leaving them be apart from 'ordinary' cleaning (not spring cleaning!) until we get the new larger cage....I'll let you know when that happens! OH is not in a hurry for why I don't know - oh yes I do - he'll probably have to assemble it oh what fun that will be!

Well having transferred them back into their two adjoining cages that has helped me to make up my mind. I've ordered the Hamberley from Little Pet Warehouse! Excited but apprehensive wait till the OH sees the size of it and he has to do the assembly wish me luck!

Exciting milliej . I built mine myself it was really easy to put together. I brought mine from a friend who had only had it two or three months when her bird died, she dismantled it for me to get it home and I put it together again, OH had to help me lift it onto the stand though

It is great! A cage can never be too big, particularly for buds that don't come out.

It is great! A cage can never be too big, particularly for buds that don't come out. I think they were a bit overawed with the space but seem to have had a light bulb moment and both had a good fly today. It's a joy to see how they're reacting to the huge new world they've inherited!
