Brand New Budgie

I've had my budgies in my room for 6-7 years now, one is about 6 himself and the other is coming up a year (Blues original mate died so now he has another buddy) I've never had a problem with them causing me breathing issues or any trouble at all (apart from the frequent headaches from the singing!), but my room is very very cold. All the time - it gets sun at sunrise and that's it for the day, so it's pretty much dark and chilly even in the summer.
I've always moved the birds into a warm sunny room when weather has permitted, and moved them back in the evening. However, we now have a spare room (the sunniest and warmest of the house). Would the birds be ok living in this room permanently?
I'm hesitating only because I'd feel bad them not having much going on around them in the day, like they're used to. I was thinking getting a radio up there for when everyone is out but I'm not sure still.
Would this be ok?
Thanks guys

I always leave the radio on when I go out. Someone with more experience will be on later to help.

I wouldn't move them completely away from the centre of your comings and goings. I feel they would become unused to you and the general every day running of the house. Could they not have a bit of both? Possibly the warm room when you are out, or during the morning/afternoon and back into the main part of the house either when you are home or the other half of the day. I think they would tend to forget you and you might be inclined to forget them if they are removed permanently. A nice warm room is not the same as having company.
