We have a budgie, which is a bit lonely since his pall died. He is talking to himself in the mirror, but it's not the same since his girl passed away. He is also over-grooming himself. Under his wings he has not much feathers left. We took him to the vet which said that's normal for when they get bored. We think if he gets with a flock, he will quickly be his old self. We're looking for a good home for him. He is not tame with humans: he is afraid of us. For a while we could cheer him up with videos of budgies, but he knows now it's not real. Other budgies will make him very happy Nice home wanted. It's a male. Cambridgeshire area.

Good luck finding a lovely home with other budgies for your poor boy. I hope someone on here is able to help.

His is like 3 to 4 years old. We decided to have no budgies anymore in the future. If we get a young one, then he will be alone once ours passes away. We think its the best to find him another home.
If we cannot, we can look for another budgie, but it has to be an older budgie. At least 3 years.
2 of them will be happy together. The cage is 50 cm wide and like 1 to 1.2 m high. We can take the top off and he can fly out. But by himself he even does not like to fly much: he is quickly back in his cage.
An older budgie would be a good for him. Would need to be female.

I'd take him, but it's too far for me and I don't drive.

We can bring him. London is not too far, but 'd be hesitant to drive into London...I always take the train when going to London. (Don't want to take a budgie on a train)

So how would he get here if you're hesitant to take the train or drive?
Shall we see if anyone else says that they can give him a home?

We're in Swavesey near Cambridge. We can bring him to Kings Lynn if you like. I checked your pictures and your budgies look great. You have a nice aviary.

That's great. I will miss him.
He's actually chatting a lot lately: but to the mirror, the birds outside or the TV. (not to us)
Just so you know: under his wings he is a bit bald. But he is a hardy one. I think he will have them back soon.
I will send you a private message.
