I love that photo Marianne Marlow Rest assured though M that you should have no bad feeling or conscience as they had the best lives that any budgie could wish for...companionship (bird and human) top quality food, freedom exercise, stimulation, toys and most of all top quality love and care. I know who I'd sooner be with if I were a bud

Roswells ashes arrived back from the pet crematorium (Sunnyfields) today at 1.55pm.
Feel sad, but glad to have him home.
Here is one of the first photos I took of him with Snowy and Monty in February 2010.

So pleased he is home with you again Marianne, I know how it feels, I have my dogs here and it always triggers the emotions again when they bring them back to you. At least you can always take them with you if you ever move, I feel a little tied with my little Bud cemetery in the garden, can't imagine leaving it Beautiful pictures , happy memories

Marianne I havent been on in a while. I have only caught up with the sad news on poor Roswell.Sorry to hear you lost your little man. It is heartbreaking losing a bud, their lives are far too short, but full of vibrant energy. Fly high little fella. Say hello to my lot up there xx

Thanks mintysowner, Basil did have about a week of flying back and forth squawking at us as if saying "where is he?" But he's fine now, he plays with George a fair bit and at the moment he's sitting and singing.

I know I am late in all this but I am very sorry for your loss. Roswell was beautiful and you really did everything you could. I know sometimes I look back and think about all the things I could have done but in reality, we can only do what we think of there and then and we always had their best interest at heart. It's never easy saying goodbye to a pet and even more difficult when you don't even get a chance but rest assure that Roswell got everything, love, care, food, friends and lots of play and toys! Everything a budgie would need and more. RIP Roswell, you will never be forgotten. Do say a hello to Imzi and Huckleberry and don't worry if Huckleberry doesn't say hi back as he was always on another planet anyway!
