I know samwiseg, too quiet. I have given details of the meeting place to Nina, as she didn't know any places to meet up, so providing she is in agreement we can meet at a motorway services on Sunday. As long as the boy with the budgie hasn't changed his mind! I am sooooon excited!!! I have been thinking of names and Max seems to have stuck with me at the moment!!. Keep watching this space!!

I'm sure that when you see the new budgie, you'll think of a name that suits him/her

I am so sorry for the quietness. I stupidly decided to make my own pre-wedding invitation party cards as well as the wedding invitation cards. I am really crazy!
I've been so busy but I have not forgotten the budgie!! He's been on my mind.
I have spoken to the owner again. Shirls had kindly sent me photos and videos of her budgies.... it brought a tear to my eye to see such happy budgies. I really do miss mine.
The young boy was stunned to see how happy and free her budgies were e.g. a budgie playing in a bowl of water and greens! He was shocked and said, "Really? That's how they have a bath?".
To which I laughed yes, it's dettol free!! I think he has realised the wrong he has done and had he been adamant on keeping his budgie, I would have helped him to look after his budgie. His aunt helped him to see the reality as he will only get busier in life and this budgie will not have any attention from him even if he were to look after his physical needs.
This budgie will be spoilt rotten as we all know, a big big thank you to you Shirls for doing this. I think those who rescue or take budgies in when they need a home are amazing people. I might do that in the future one day.
He will have new toys, new friends and a loving new mum!! Oh dear... here comes the tears!
I'll probably be writing posts on Sunday as I'm in the car. I am going to do what I did with Imzi e.g. sit next to the budgie and talk to him and keep him calm. His owner laughed when I said this... he said.. "Talk to the budgie? They don't understand". I did explain why but he still thought I was odd. I know am more pleased than ever before that Shirls is taking the budgie.

Oooooo Shirls I have caught up now, lovely and so exciting. When I picked my birds up I sat and talked softly all the way home, 40 miles, I looked a bit stupid to passing cars with a box propped up on my shoulder! Such a lovely thing to be happening.

Wrote all this after reading page 1 of this post tonight It's late. lol It is so important not to miss a few days on here!
So sorry about this really sad story. I will be on holiday in Aug and after that I was planning to try for eggs again with Smokey Jo and Bluey so experts, I need advice here. 1. Is it good to rehome this budgie I will call Bud! Knowing of the upheaval to come. (My sis is holiday sitting my 2 already) 2. I have a spare cage so would he live alongside SJ and Bluey? 3. I am near Peterboro so am miles away but can meet halfway 4. Will you come to my funeral when husband kills me for offering???
So pleased he is sorted and I'm sorry if I have added another name. But think Max is good! lol Off to bed now night all xx
