Brand New Budgie

Matilda is a normal green hen. She is about 2-3 years old and is in the staplehurst area of kent. I am more than willing to drive her to her new home. I believe she needs an avairy or lots of free range time. She would have to go somwhere with other budgies.
I used to let her and her two friends free range in my bedroom, but unfortunately they all got stuck behind my wardrobe and two of them died. Somehow she managed to survive.
Now she is on her own in a tiny cage (she was an unwanted pet from someone else).
I'm terrified of letting her out as I can't constantly watch her as I have two toddlers and two westies.
I can't build an avairy at the moment, it would have to wait until next summer now. It seems cruel to keep her locked up and alone until then.
I'm gutted this has happend to her and we have found ourselves in this situation. We've just moved and the house needs to be finished being built before I can get my partner to build an aviary.
So unless someone has a better idea, I think it's best she finds a new home.

Aw Matilda what a pity you're so far away! Do hope she finds a good new home soon.

I have to say I'm tempted. But it's very far from me.

Me too Marianne, plus my husband would object quite strongly I fear! Bonnie and Tyler are very bonded now and are quite the happy couple too but I bet if another female was introduced he'd share his mojo. Now who lives in Kent again err......

Oh go away everyone!!!! It's not really too far, but I wouldn't be able to quarantine another one. Most of my house is open plan and it's very difficult just keeping Smudgie separate. I only have a Ferplast Piano 6, even though it's a big cage, it's roomy for four or five budgies, not sure about six??? I have NO room for another cage, so I really do think, it must be a NO. Much as I would love to have Matilda. Doesn't anyone else have room?? My daughter would go spare if I rehomed another budgie.......

I wonder if your daughter has ever thought of taking on a budgie?
