Ha! With the workshop I have downstairs, this took me 10 minutes, max. the next challenge is to make this ladder from natural wood. this was almost a temporary solution.

Well, there is no need to show off, now!!! A lot can be achieved, and very well, with the right tools.

aha all you need is a big hammer Hezz. I know you Aussies don't do so well with the more intricate works I have to say I'm quite lucky with my shop, but with bird toys, all you need is a hand saw and a drill generally.

What fortunate little budgies, having home-made toys like that, they look great. I have a swing like the one on your video (well the budgies, not me personally!) but I took it out in case they hurt their beaks on the chain? Am I getting paranoid about my two? Yours look as if they're really having fun! Feel a bit mean now

I did end up removing it. he spent too much time with his feet on the chains, i was scared he was going to end up caught in it and hurt himself. going to remake it with leather/twine later when i get a chance.

Ah thanks for that, I think I'll do the same, take the chain out and thread it with leather or budgie safe twine. Then they can enjoy and I won't have wasted yet more money on stuff they won't play with or like!!

So Gabe went through his first proper moult not too long ago, and has now ended up with what i have dubbed "trump hair" and have referred to him as donald a few times Leo now seems to be following suit, with wicked pin feathers. looks slightly irritated, but has found satisfaction on rubbing his face on the natural wood perches

After neglecting the boys for the week (and shifting them to the hallway) i treated them to a new cage arrangement/clean and a massive bunch of seeded wong bok. they go crazy for the stuff! Ive been doing renovations, and they love the noise, but i didnt want them near the dust and paint fumes, so unfortunately they slept in the hallway right outside our bedroom door....didnt think about the wakeup call at 5am every morning
