All the entries are wonderful! Another tough decision. I need to just keep taking pictures and hope that I get one good one. My birds are winners, but, so far, my photos can't compete.

Ok, Blueberry, Jellybean and I will have a meeting so I can get their cooperation, then the camera will start clicking.

Plus the stupid camera doesn't want the flash to work anytime, so have to get near a window, but not pointing at the window........etc, etc. Good luck!

I got a new camera for my birthday several weeks back, and the quality of my photos went up exponentially.
If you don't have a good macro function on your camera, it's hard to take a good shot, because budgies are so small and the distant shots rarely work out.
The main light sources also needs to be behind you or your exposure blasts out.

Main problem I have is them not flying off when the camera comes near them!
Many of mine have to be taken from a distance then cropped.

Totally agree Stace, but like Hezz said - it does all depend on whether your budgie is obliging when it comes to getting the camera out! I have had to turn all noises off the camera and the flash so Monts wont be freaked! Result....darkish distant shots (we do have a good macro) but getting the camera close enough is the tricky bit!

Good idea, Marianne.... even if the photo is from a distance, I could crop it. Some budgies can be so curious that they walk right up to the camera. Not mine. No luck so far this morning, but I'll keep trying.
