What a beautiful budgie. Poor wee sausage looks as if she hasn't even got a toy to play with. Hope someone gives her a loving home.

Oh I wish people wouldn't do this on Gumtree!!! I have looked and feel so sorry for the poor little might, as you say, no toys, no stimulation. Makes me so cross!!

Poor darling, she has what, 1 or 2 perches? And sand sheet floor? This is heart breaking...I hope someone gives her a good home.

Unfortunately I am trawling through the ads, as I need (not necessarily want!) to expand my flock. The little Enfield one is the sort I would have gone for.
I have contacted another advertiser about 2 buds (local & by the looks of it, in an undesirable home) but have not heard back yet. There are some others in the frame but... as usual, I am dragging my heels. There are definitely some females up for grabs & though I love hens, I'm not sure I want to willingly inflict such a loose cannon onto Bezukhov & Dalai. That said, who knew that adding Thomas to the flock would cause so many problems!
Not to mention Phinny & his antisocial ways...

But all still very lovable, regardless. sweetpea, we have been telling you for ages that your flock needs a hen.

But all still very lovable, regardless. sweetpea , we have been telling you for ages that your flock needs a hen. I was all ready to welcome a little hen into my home (one who I recall was advertised last March, when I was looking for Dalai) when the person changed the ad to include the cage. It originally had a price for with or without cage. I sent him a message saying I wanted without cage as I already have 2 big empty ones, & without responding to me, he's changed the ad. I even sent him the link to my blog that he has not bothered to look at. I give up with these people... He's also one of the ones who refers to the bird as 'it'.

Yes, annoying. Not to mention the man who, when I asked if he would sell just the two birds to me (once again, I did not want the crummy cage), said the £60 is effectively for the cage & you get the birds free!! When I offered £30 for just the birds (thinking he could then sell the cage separately for £60), he said he would reduce his price to £50 for the two birds - the same two birds he was prepared to give away "free" a conversation ago!
