So am I, Sam. But seeing as I haven't myself, I can't really remonstrate others for not doing so. Mind you, you and Shirls have set the bar rather high.

I agree Sam, some of the people that normally had a go are not around though and OP is having trouble with his eyes. Feel free to start a thread encouraging people!

Sorry Marianne, Hezz and Sam. Unfortunately there is no known cure for the eyesight condition. Which means my driving days are just about over. I am sat here with a magnifying glass checking the post for the multitude of typos. I have tried enlarging the screen resolution, but it just makes things worse. When I look at the current banner the headline is full of holes and wobbly text. With some of the entries for the current competition the smaller text is lost in the background. That is not a reflection on anybodies skills, it's just what I see. So you can imagine what it's like trying to put a banner together. I will admire the efforts that people have put in.

I'm sorry too samwiseg. I'd have a go if I could SEE it being done rather than READING how to do it.

Yes, a video tutorial. I have tried but can't do it. There must be something I keep doing wrong. I thought I had followed it. So would love to 'see' how to do it

It must be so hard in general. I can't even imagine. When you have the injections, does that enable you to drive for a while?

Not really. The injections are to slow the progression of the disease. I often can see better for a while after the injection, but I am losing confidence and I know I cannot see as well as I need to for driving. I can still pass the basic eye test, but that is nt good enough fortodays road conditions. So I will call it a draw very soon.
