Wonderful!!! From the inside pic I can see you've found a way to stop them fighting over seed pots.

Lovely set up. For a food tray in mine I used a piece of half guttering with the ends on, and gutter clips screwed to the wood. Easy to refill and clipped off for easy cleaning. There was plenty of room for the all to feed at once if they wanted.

Thank you all. They give me much more joy and happiness than I do them. They are incredible little birds.

How do you get them to look at the camera when you take a photo? You can't be saying "watch the birdie".

What a beautiful flock! clt80, are you not concerned about the buds getting claws etc caught in the long tassles? Or even chewing on them? We have a member's little friend recovering from needing surgery to remove fibre from her crop. Poor little Tom was very ill. I would be worried.

I think they look when I go in either as a) the intruder who must have an eye kept on her, or b) the woman who brings food....
The tassels....they've never got claws caught and to be honest it never crossed my mind, however I have thought about cutting off the fabric tassel rope things after seeing what came out of Tom's crop after his op.

Are you seen as an "unfortunate necessity", clt80?? Please do cut the tassles; some cable ties will stop knots untying, if needed. I will feel better, for it, if nothing else.
