It does sound like she will be a good mum.

We seem to be sticking with 4 eggs which is a nice manageable number for me to accommodate and for the parents to cope with. Of course there may be no chicks at all or there could just be one, who knows at this stage? I could candle them but I don't want to disturb her so we'll leave them alone and wait and see.

I've had to move the bachelors into the piano 6 with the cockatiels. They were going stir crazy in the little cage, hated seeing them in there. Breaks my heart to think that some buds spend their whole lives in cages smaller than they had. They are much happier now but not sure the cockys are too thrilled, they thought they had got away from those annoying twittering creatures. Save

The Bachelor Boys are still causing grief!! Four eggs is a good number for both you and Citrine; I couldn't agree more. Fingers crossed for a couple of chicks at least. Now that the dangerous part for Citrine is over now ..... we can relax and hope for some tiny cheeping.

We had a bit of excitement this morning. My son said he heard Citrine cheeping from inside the box. She doesn't usually cheep, more shouts so I thought we may have had an early chick but nothing yet. Only 6 more days before the first is due.

Maybe he was being polite about Citrine's noise. I would be thinking: No, can't be! They are not cooked yet!!

Nah, he usually just says "Mother, can you control your bird noise?" I did think it wasn't possible but had to check just in case. Citrine soon told me to clear off and mind my own business though. Nah, well ..... I didn't really think so .... sons don't have that polite gene when it comes to mums' birds.
