Hello everyone.
I was wondering what everyone's experience is with tissue paper in toy making. I know some people say if it tastes bad don't use it, but the tissue paper I have are not dyed and don't have any odd taste. I was thinking of using it in a foraging box. I have also thought if getting long strips and twisting it into twine. I'm not sure if it's safe to let budgies have access to tissue-paper twine. I imagine if the twine is safe it wouldn't last long unless covered up by beads.
If anyone knows a thread that already has tissue-paper covered, telling would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I buy the crinkle paper and the paper ties from Karen at; www.naturalbirdco.co.ukMy two love to play with these, I make them up into little bundles, then tie them together and hang some in the cage and some onto swings and play gyms. I can post pictures if you're interested.

I'm not sure about tissue paper; it might be a bit too soft and friable for budgies, but you can buy paper rope for not very much, especially if you get it in bulk. Bought in metre-lengths it is quite expensive as something to be chewed up, but in 20-30 metre lengths, it works out quite cheaply.
