That's a beauty Shirls. It looks like a giant compared to the tiny ones of the budgies. Hope these are all happy healthy chookies.

That feather jellybean is only about 2 inches long, so not a lot bigger than the buds ones!!

Something interesting that I found out yesterday from the lady that I got the babies from, all her stock comes from the lady that I usually go to in Horsemonden! She said (confirmed what I knew already) 'she knows her stuff about breeding chickens!!'

Nice pictures. It must be a small circle of breeders around your way. Fingers crossed the ones from your new breeder are more healthy.

A very pretty threesome, Shirls. Your daughter's chookie looks a bit grumpy, though. Good luck with this lot of chooklets.

Thnk you for all your kind comments. Yes, that is a pebble samwiseg, I wondered which one of you would spot that and think it was an egg! I have to put pebbles in to hold the papers down, it is so windy up here at the moment. And NO they don't have cushions and candles!!!! Mollie is the feisty one Hezz, so she may be grumpy in that picture. Dusty had a go at her this morning from outside (cage bars inbetween) but she stood her ground. I haven't let them out yet of course, got to give them time to settle in and get used to our routine. It's a nightmare cleaning out the run that the babies are in, a bit heavy on the knees!! I have a job reaching the far end, I'm sure whoever makes these things don't even think about the hazards of cleaning! They look like little dinosaurs don't they starlingqueen. I love them when they are little. Love them though in a different way when they mature of course!!!

Lovely Shirls. How do you tell Mollie and Beatrice apart. Well, at the moment Mollie is the smaller of them all. Beatrice however, has a few 'spotties' on her wings! Tuppence has some what they call 'blue' streaks on her rear feathers so that's how I can tell her from Tilly. Otherwise they are like peas in a pod!
