A while back I bought three 500ml bottles of Avigold as it was on special offer.
A few days ago I went to open the last of the three and noticed its "Best Before" date had expired in January this year so I emailed the manufacturer to ask if it was OK to use it or not. I explained what had happened.
Two days later I had an email response asking me for the batch number and stating that although the Best by date had expired the tonic would not be harmful... I replied and said thank for the advice.
Another day passed and another email... this time asking for my contact details so the company could send me a new replacement bottle. I was surprised to say the least.
Does anyone else use Avigold Advanced?

I have not heard of it, could you explain what it's for?
Well done them on sending you a replacement. I had a similar issue with a packet of emp egg food that had expired, the supplier had sent them a whole batch of expired ones. It cost them (junglegold.com) about a fiver to send me a replacement too!

Not heard of it either Learner. There really are some good companies out there. I ordered Apple Cider Vinegar from Amazon a few weeks ago, the delivery date arrived and it never turned up so I waited another few days, still no delivery. I emailed the seller and received a lovely reply. They said they would try to trace the missing bottle but in the meantime they would send me a full refund, plus a replacement, and as a goodwill gesture they would also send another bottle of ACV along with some goodies, which turned out to be protein bars. Customer satisfaction taken to a new level.

A new 500ml bottle of Avigold Advance arrived in the post with TRACKED delivery as a free replacement.
It certainly is good to find a company with excellent customer care and service.
Avigold Advance: A general tonic.... the link below should take you to info about the product including its ingredients. link
I originally bought it as a supplement mostly for use over winter when it was on sale as a promotional offer.
"Aviform" produce a number of different products for birds including:
- Prosol & Prolyte C - aid speedy recovery after illness
- Calciform - calcium and Vitamin D3 supplement
- Expel - worm preventative (water soluble.... blend of herbal extracts...give once in a month for 3 consecutive days)
- Mycform-CA - respiratory infection recovery support - contains pine/peppermint/eucalyptus oils and more
Worth keeping a record of the web-link as the products may be of use some day and delivery is extra fast.

If they are in contact with other birds (including poultry) then, definitely, yes.

Reading your thread about 'Expel' are budgies prone to getting worms then Learner ? Mine aren't as they have an inside flight and a completely roofed outside flight with double wire-mesh walls. I've not seen any sign of a worm problem. But I thought the product might be of interest to other people who suspect their birds may have met up with worms from wild-birds or a known source. With careful housing and using only clean natural perches and wild-food sources worms should not be a problem.

Thanks for that Learner, so it may sometimes be a problem for aviary birds but completely unlikely for budgies kept in the home.

Do you worm your chooks, Shirls? You are going to be the conduit for worms from the chooks to the budgies.
