Thanks OP. I'm going to give it a miss, I don't have anywhere near the technical knowledge to do this. I did a City and Guilds in Programming in 1993-4 but I have forgotten practically all of it by now.

Whilst the basics of the C language are still used the languages have progressed more towards object oriented style. For most of the people that enter the language they would have no knowledge of the skills you learned in the early '90's. That is about the time I was learning myself. I started a fair bit earlier with 6502 assembly and things like that, then graduated. All self taught. A glutton for punishment. I think you would soon pick it up again if you can put the time in. With compiling source you won't actually be writing, but sort of gluing it all together. I think you could be rather good at it, as long as you are good at debugging.
