Yes, not a lot and with effort, but he has now grown enough flight feathers in to become airborne. I think there are still either two or three primaries on each wing to be dropped. These are his largest, as well, so for a birdy who has never had the benefit of flying before, he is doing okay, and I am chuffed for him. Lacking a lot of confidence, though.

He still sits on the top of his cage and squawks at me to come and get him, but I have not doubt that this flying caper may well become a double-edged sword. I can see him flying all over the house looking for a somebody.

At least he knows what wings are really for. Well done Loki. Now the fun really begins. Great photos. Ind is the full on treatment in the shower something to do with being a dry climate bird, that is taking the chance when the rain comes?

That last photo is really sweet. Does he get on with all the humans? So far as we know, Marianne. Apparently things could turn rather ugly once he reaches full maturity at two years of age. So I encourage everyone to talk to him and interact and hopefully he will be a well-adjusted little guy in all ways. It would be really horrible for him to take against a member of the family.
