Hi all,
I'm looking for a fellow bird lover to take in my two budgies. They are a yellow male and blue female, both around 6 years old. And I have had them since they were small.
Unfortunately we have to move abroad for work, and at their age I don't know how they'll cope with the upheaval.
They can't be separated, and health wise have had a couple of issues. The male was a feather plucker so can't fly. Although he's got a lovely plumage now, his flight feathers are gone, so he likes to fly about 3 feet.
The female, has very recently suffered an eggbind, ( A first) but seems to be on the mend.
I would like them to stay in their cage, and don't think they'd get on with other birds in a shared cage/aviary environment.
The female is used to flying around all day, so ideally this would be wanted too!
I'm based in the Essex area and we leave in January. Any help will be really appreciated!
X Emma

Such a shame that you have to leave them behind.
I hope you find someone soon.

I also hope you find a new home for them soon. Essex is a bit far too for me.

Hi bongobudgo1. Hope you find someone soon for your birdies. Would you entertain meeting someone halfway if they were able to take them on? Can you also post a picture please?
