I have two dogs, one has all sorts of issues that are kept under control by medication. My other dog is never ill. I always think of him as being the one I don't need to worry about.
We went to the vet as he has developed a lump on his skin. He's white and pale and to me the lump looked like a mast cell.
The vet is removing it with two other lumps on Tuesday. I've to drop him off at 10.20am and they'll call me once it's done and he is well enough to come home.
It's just knocked me a bit. Once they are removed they will be sent off for examination.
Please all send good vibes for him. I'm very worried about the anesthetic and then the results.

Get well vibes definitely being sent to him It does get you like this when suddenly it all seems to happen at once but rest assured he will be well looked after at the vets x

I hope the operation goes well and the lumps are nothing serious.
What's his name?

He is called Alfie, he's approx. 8 years old (he was a rescue). We've had him six and a half years. He's a large Jack Russell cross.
Thank you for the well wishes.

Alfie hasn't had he op!!!! The 'thing' popped so it wasn't anything sinister. Vet had a look this morning and Alfie was able to come back home! I'm so pleased.
Also - it is my eldest dogs birthday today, she's 11. As Alfie is a rescue dog we don't know when he was exactly born, so he shares Lexie's birthday and is 8 today.
I'm going to go the shops and buy them something special for their birthday tea.
