Thank you samwiseg. Got to say I don't find it that easy at the moment, I have plasters all over my fingers, and have to type everything twice because of hitting double keys! I have such sore fingers at the moment!!

The chooks probably wanted the eggs for themselves.

Nothing so serious or so hilarious folks. I do my gardening, and go outside a lot without gloves on, and am forever washing my hands and I get these little splits in my fingers and they are SO sore!!! I go through no end of hand cream, even the one they call 'Working Hands' doesn't really help. Haven't yet been able to find one that really helps, so I get the Savlon out and plasters and plaster over all the little nicks!!

Lesson for one Shirls: always wear your gloves when working outside. There's a tip.

Either that or stop washing your hands so much.

Have a look on Amazon for this one Shirls:- LOTIL Hand Cream. They do it in a large dispenser or the smaller hand cream tubes. I found it very good for sore chapped hands.

the other thing that might help.... sudacrem or any nappy rash cream, it is that bit thicker and stops water and other moisture, other than when you wash your hands, of course

A soap for sensitive skin and a big pot of heavy duty hand cream right beside it. And the gloves, of course.

Gosh I couldn’t garden without gloves. I have sores and thick calusas on my hands at the moment from the crutches. I can’t use hand cream as it makes them slippy. You have my sympathy Shirls
