Decided to splash out and give the boys some exciting new toys! Karen at the Natural Bird Company has been lovely and created two of these beautiful pieces for the boys to have fun on and a go at:
Murph decided to land on the window perch AFTER I had taken it off the window TYPICAL!
Murph is so brave isn't he? The others just like to watch from afar *scaredy cats* Am sure they will venture on them in time as all new things are bound to kill them but am sure they will love the extra shreddables too that Karen creatively & kindly tied on them Then I'll be getting the vacuum out thanks

They do look brilliant. Karen is very creative when let loose. Well done Murph. He obviously approves of the windo perch being there.

Thanks guys Marley actually landed on the window perch on the window today but I couldn't get a picture as he promptly flew off! Oh well, me have a feeling they will get used to them fairly quickly now though

samwiseg these are fantastic, I’ve thought about getting a window perch but I’m always worried as Eric has flown into the window before even though I have vertical blinds up, how do you prevent them flying into the window?

You can put sheets of paper on the window using blue tack until they get to know the boundaries. I used to that but lately I haven't done so. They do fly into the window but not at full speed. It has the same effect they get to know where the boundaries are. I have vertical blinds on one window but they still fly into those and get tangled. I suppose it might be better with a perch on the window.

I don't have to prevent them flying into our window at the moment helenmat because when we moved into our new flat the lounge window is blown and is on the to do list to be replaced. So it has a permanent cloud in it atm so they don't fly into it! But as OP said I would put up A4 paper to prevent them if we needed to

Or I guess you can use car window stickers.
Luckily mine have never flown into the window (touch wood)

LOVE these samwiseg, what lucky boys. I too like the idea of the cake cases . I have sticky butterflies stuck onto my glass doors here and there, they stop the buds flying into it and they look pretty too

I bet they love them!! How lovely. I laughed at the picture with the blue budgie preening in the background (sorry I don't know his name)

I hope they love them in the end Shirls clt80 cause at the moment they are still wary! They are lucky boys skysmum (considering how much I paid for them) and only one bud has really gone near them yet! However, that is good enough for me - like you said Marianne Marlow Nubbs is not far behind. Reason for that is he HAS to be wherever Murph is so no doubt he will be with him on them soon! I know what you mean there Hezz, when I try to get them to take I look I find myself making the paper rustle and make noises like "oooh look mummy bought this for you, what is it then?" but then find myself twiddling the paper bits whilst on the computer!!! Well at least 2 of us are getting some enjoyment out of them
