Sorry I wasn't there for you. Sometime around midnight Bobby passed away. Why, I have no idea but I suspect a stroke. When I uncovered the cage all the budgies were in the wrong place, so I knew something had happened. I couldn't find Bobby. She was tucked right down in one corner of the cage. I checked the video recordings and just before midnight there was a commotion going on, but Bobby was missing from the perch she was on. It must have been quick as the video didn't catch the event of her passing. One second she was on the perch the next she was missing and the rest of the buds were flying about. I doubt there was anything I could have done had I been there. She showed no signs of anything wrong through the day.
Bye bye Bobby, look out for Joey and Edward over at rainbow bridge and say hello to them. R.I.P

I am SO sorry.. that is so sad and awful. But I am sure you are right, it would have been quick and there would have been nothing you could have done. Poor Bobby... and poor you.. so sorry. RIP Bobby, you had a wonderful time with OP and your other friends.

I'm so sorry that you've lost Bobby, OP. The only consolation is it was quick and she didn't suffer too much.

Oh I'm so sorry Colin. It is such a shock when they go so quick. I'm sure you couldn't have done anything and it is some consolation that she went so quickly. Nevertheless, very sad. She had a wonderful time with you and the other buds. When you feel ready, can we have a picture of her please?
Rest in peace but fly high beautiful Bobby.

You surely can Shirls. This was soon after she came to me. Don't worry about the friend at her side. And a more recent one.

I'm fine Jane, saddened but fine. Although I thought she was a quiet budgie it is surprising how much she contributed to the noise level. There is something missing. I also wondered how Mildred might behave. Mildred has certainly filled the vacuum. Not as noisy rather gathered the affections of the males within the flock. She also knows how to get out of the way. Whiskers knows there is something not quite normal. He saw me take Bobby's body from the cage and take her away. He doesn't know what has happened to her but he keeps comming to me for a fleeting moment and then goes away again. Not his usual behaviour.
