Lovely boy. Would it be possible to see a photo that includes tailfeathers?

He's either a sky blue or cobalt, definately opaline spangle.

Agreed, but I would add the possibility that he's a single factor violet sky.

Are we sure about the opaline part? all spangles look that way to me. Just asking because it's something I have always wondered.

Yep; he's almost the spitting image of Misty, who is a cobalt opaline spangle as per BB's impressive knowledge. If you blow the first photo up, you can see the blue "trim" across his back and wings. There is a small amount of black there as well, if he weren't an opaline there would be no blue, but black in its place.

Is George (left) opaline or just a spangle?

Ok...this is the cocks father his mother was an opaline how would he be opaline? This is is grandfather the cock aboves father his grandmother was a solid blue normal Neither him,his father or grandfather ever through off opaline hens or opalines at all This is him as a chick Being as his mom is opaline he would be split not an actual opaline thats why I'm confused

Is George (left) opaline or just a spangle? Never "just a spangle" Marianne. .... but I don't think he is opaline.

I love opalines but even if his grandfather was opaline his grandmother wasn't being opaline is sexlink males would be split to it not be visual opaline

Maybe you should consult a breeders'/exhibitors' club. They are more likely to be able to set you straight than anyone on here.
