Thank you everyone. I still can't believe she has gone, the tears are still falling. I miss her very much x I know. We wish we could take your pain away but at least she was loved. I see some poor birds on sites for sale that look so sad and lonely. Your little one was so lucky to have you as you was her. As you know already it takes time but you will heal x

You are right, there are so many birds and animals living in misery. That was part of why I started rehoming. It didn't solve the world's problems but it made a difference to the lives of the ones who came to me.
Ida would have been 1 in a couple of weeks. She did have a happy life. She crammed a lot into it her little action packed life; and she found love.
I get a lump in my throat everytime I think of her, and also when I see Cora. They had very different personalities but to look at they were identical. It's when I see picturesbof Ida, just chokes me up and then I weep.
Time will help. It has in the past and I'm sure it will again.

Oh clt80, I'm just catching up and have just seen this thread. I'm so so so sorry to hear about beautiful brave little Ida. You've had so many tragedies to deal with this year ... Thinking of you and the flock ...
