Hello everyone
I feel that my bird’s cage is a bit boring, as there are only two perches that span the width of the cage. The problem is that I always struggle to arrange more perches so that they don’t end up beneath each other. My current food and water bowls are the JW ones so that they’re covered to keep any poop from ending up in the contents, because my bird would find a way.
I like the look of the feeding perches from the NaturalBirdCo with the bowls, and would quite like one with a bowl and kabob as well for veggies, but if I put them high up there’ll be seed husks outside the cage and if I put them low down they’ll probably get pooped in.
I’d like to remove the long perches for several shorter ones, maybe get a forked one that I can hopefully put a wobbly budgie toy around one fork, a swing for sleeping on like he used to (he never swings on a swing though), and then the food/water/veggie bowl perches. If they can make one, I feel like a flat corner perch with a lip would be fun for wobble toys, as they always get chucked off of surfaces and break but don’t wobble well on the floor.
I just don’t know how to arrange it all effectively in the cage, which is 54.5 x 35 cm internal measurements (length x width) and 56 cm high.
There’s no need to worry about flight space. If anything’s further than a small jump away he just climbs the bars. I’ve tried spacing things so he’ll fly in there but he doesn’t bother.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Photos will help us help you. I would have thought seed husks outside the cage was a given with owning any bird. There is no reason why all things have to be in the cage at the one time. Get the perches you want and then play around with how they fit. Email Karen at the Natural Bird Co and describe what you are wanting.
