I thought I had shots of him down the tube while vertical, but they must all be on my phone. The cardboard tube keeps him entertained for ages at a time. It is a great "parrot-sitter". I am lucky to be able to access them at work for nothing. I have a (small) cupboard stacked with them.

Love this boy too. I see he not only likes to chew his pumpkin, but his perch as well 😁

Love this boy too. I see he not only likes to chew his pumpkin, but his perch as well 😁 Yes, jellybean, the perch needs renewing on a regular basis - when the poo hits the base that the tree sits on, then it's time for a new perch. The orange all over the perch is some pumpkin but mostly mandarin. I get little bubby ones, meant for kids' lunch boxes, for myself. Loki has one segment out of each one. He is a bit precious about it though - he won't hang onto them with his foot. Why not? Too juicy!! The cardboard tube, always makes me laugh when they poke their heads in all excited He literally shreds them into little pieces, clt80. I have several plastic bags full now waiting to go into the compost. He hangs from the top by his back claws, all the way down into the tube working his beak-magic, so that only the tip of his tail pokes out. The other day he fell in, little claws scrabbling for a purchase. I wasn't sure he would have been able to pull himself out without a lot of worry, so tipped the tube onto the side a little so he could back out. He then gave me that "nothing to see here" look that goes with doing something silly.
