Ok hope you're ready for this Blue Peter Fans! (no sticky back plastic or glue needed) My OH had this idea to make this - he did get inspiration from our breeder's aviary as he had pipe clips in wood to make perches for his birds in the aviary.
How to make a Budgie A FrameYou will need: 2x pieces of batten measuring 1.5" x 1" cut into 13.5" 2x pieces of batten measuring 1.5" x 1" cut into 15"
4x 16mm Dowelling (any length you like) ours is 14" 8x 15mm Pipe Clips (when pushing the dowelling through the fixed pipe clips they are a tad tight but get easier) but sit nicely so they dont move
10 screws corresponding to the size of the pipe clips (and two to connect together to make each side of the "A")
A drill driver or drill and screwdriver oh and a wood saw
This is one side so you will need two like this:
We bought one piece of batten, cut into 4 equal pieces (staright cut) then cut a 45o on one end of each of the 4 pieces for the feet The other straight cut ends will be attached together by laying the longest length on top of the shortest and placing a screw through it. (see red line on the peak of the A frame)
My OH pre-drilled all the holes to get them right, but you dont have to do this as long as you've measured the pipe clips to line up correctly. The great thing is, is that it can be dismantled to clean and to put away if necessary!
I hope this makes sense, I think I have covered everything and if not ask away with questions and I shall try and help you!
All the bits we got from B&Q but am sure you can get them at most reputable DIY shops or hardware stores

Thank you for the instructions. I will ask my OH to help me make one. He's much better at sawing than me so I'll definitely get him to do that part for me.
