I wondered too Sarah. Is it meant to say sour? Not sure what he means either. Is it one of those "ey up, duck" type words?

Scour means diarrohea basically I believe. Beat me to it, Lupin! It is one of those words anyone who has had anything to do with livestock knows well, but not used much outside that. My spinach comment was actually aimed at the hen as she needs all the calcium she can get. This is quoted from Rob Marshall's bird health website: "An abnormally high incidence of egg binding, cloacal prolapse, leg problems in the babies or poor eggshell quality points towards a low level of calcium in the diet or a poor absorption of calcium into the bird."
