Great capture, Sam! I had to find out why they do this. If I am the only one who didn't know why, please ignore the bit below .....
A Seagull stamping his feet to cause vibrations to irritate the worms to the surface (it is possible that the worms respond to the vibrations because they are similar to those caused by rain, and the worms head upward to avoid drowning in their burrows).

Yep that's EXACTLY what he is doing Hezz! We've seen him do this lately but he has been too far away to film, but the other day he was right outside the kitchen window! And if he is not successful at that time he moves long a couple of inches and we start all over again! I was actually going to entitle the post "worm charming/grunting" as that is what it reminded me of! Us humans are wierd
