I have 2 budgies called Zoro and Robin. I have both of them for Almost a year now (They are also almost 1 year old). I have spend quite a bit of time with them. I'm confident to say they enjoy my company quite a bit. They are perfectly fine sitting on me on multiple spots(not just my arm/fingers). My question for all of you is: What's the next step? I want to get even closer to my budgies and am searching for good tips to do so.

What is it you are trying to achieve? Have them sit on your hands?? If that is your aim then you need to make your hands something to be looked for, not avoided. If they have a favourite treat, only give them the treat from your fingers, or work towards doing this.

As Hezz says, training begins with treats. While they are sitting on you hold a small piece of millet in your fingers near to where they are. Assuming that they like millet that is, most budgies do. Work from there.
