Hello. Sorry, I am still around. Feel really guilty for drifting off when this place and in particular you people have given me so much! Both in advice, chat and laughs. I used to work shifts which gave me more time to be on here. I still have my budgies, plus one (orphan Annie) which we rescued and they are doing great. I hope you are all well. I'm sure I have missed lots but I'll try and pop in more! Will save this to my favourites now! G x

I thinks it's one of the strengths of the forum that someone can be away for along time, like I was, but still feel part of the family when they come back. It really is a lovely group.

I agree, sometimes I am so busy I never get to even sit down let alone have time to chat. Im always lurking in the background, not too far away. Sometimes I pop in very early in the morning before I go to work but don't necessarily contribute anything. I just have time for a quick nosy!

I am also on and off at the mo, missed loads that I need to read.. too long a story, but all I can say is that I saw first hand the issues of the NHS, as I was in hospital for nearly a week, 70% great, 30% shambles and thank goodness I have a brain!
so even though had lots of time on my hands, it was one of those where I could not be bothered with anything, but now catching up.
And agree, the beauty of the forum is the people, advice and the ability to dip in and out and still be part of it all.

Had a bad day Friday. I ventured out for a bit, but so exhausted, I couldn’t even go to my niece for dinner.
I was very lucky, had sepsis but got onto IV antibiotics before it got to doing more harm. I think from what I read, it takes a while to build up strength.
Today thankfully I’m feeling a bit bored, a good sign!!
